The Penn DCANet Internet Access Program is a commercial Internet service open only to individuals with a valid PENNcard. The program provides options for fast and reliable Internet dialup and highspeed DSL services along with direct connectivity to PennNet, using the same software that Penn supports for access to PennNet. The Penn DCANet Internet Access Program is operated and administered by DCANet.

When you sign up for the program, you can choose either a DSL account or a a PPP account. DCANet offers DSL and PPP access throughout the Delaware Valley. With your account, you will be able to access DCANet's and Penn's USENET news servers, check your Penn e-mail, run a Web browser (such as Netscape Navigator), telnet to any Internet or PennNet host, use FTP, and make use of the many popular Internet applications for your PC or Macintosh. Note that a separate DCANet e-mail address is not included but may be purchased separately.

For those customers whose computers cannot run PPP, the account can instead be used to automatically telnet to any Penn Unix or VAX server.
